Ross slimming leader wins top award

A GRANDMOTHER who lost almost nine stone in two years has won a top Slimming World prize.

Sue Holdcroft, who runs a Slimming World group in Ross-on-Wye, boasting more than 50 members, scooped Slimming World’s Top Target Consultant 2008 after dropping from a size 32 to a size 12.

She lost the weight between 2002 and 2004 and has been determined not to put it back on.

“I just wanted to be healthy,” said the 52-yearold, who lives in Cinderford.

“When I first joined Slimming World I would have been happy to drop to a size 22, but I just kept on going and am now a little over 10 stone.”

Sue had to tell judges of her 28-year slimming history and her success in following the food optimising system of dieting before being told she had won the £1,000 top prize.

On the back of her success, she will now appear on stage to collect her award at the Slimming World Oscar ceremony, held at Birmingham’s International Conference Centre.
