DUE to the popularity of the Wye Tea Dance project run by The Courtyard in partnership with DanceFest, three more tea dances have been organised for this year.

Each session will take place from 2pm to 3.30pm at The Larruperz Centre in Ross-on-Wye on Wednesdays, January 29, February 26 and March 26, with plans to programme additional dates in the spring.

The friendly and relaxed sessions aim to get body and mind moving using well loved tunes from the past and present, and are open to people from a range of backgrounds, including people living in their own homes, those looking to keep active, as well as older people living within care settings who want to engage with their local community and meet others. Each session consists of a gentle warm-up, learning simple dance routines and, of course, a cup of tea.

The sessions are accessible to all, including wheelchair users.

Pre-booking is essential - to book, or for more information about The Wye Tea Dance contact Alice Saunders, arts and older people’s project coordinator at The Courtyard on 01432 346514 or email alice.saunders@courtyard.org.uk
