Leominster alleged assault left woman bruised
3:14pm Friday 27th July 2012 in Leominster By Lydia Johnson
A WOMAN was left bruised following an alleged assault in Leominster.
The 49-year-old woman had just got in her car in Burgess Street Car Park in Leominster at 3.40pm on Friday July 20, when another vehicle pulled up and blocked her in to the parking space.
Two women - one believed to be in her 60s and the other in her late 30s - got out of the car and approached the victim, who also got out of her car.
The two women then began verbally abusing the woman and the younger woman pushed the victim against the car, before the victim was hit twice in the face by the older woman, leaving her with bruising to the left side of her head.
A man intervened, causing the two women to leave, but he left without leaving details once he knew the victim was okay.
West Mercia Police wish to talk to the man who helped the victim, and anyone with information can contact PC Alan Tobey on 0300 333 3000.
