FOUR crews of firefighters tackled a caravan fire in Orleton after a bonfire went out of control.
Two crews from Leominster and one each from Kingsland and Leintwardine extinguished a fire in a large static caravan yesterday close to Waterloo Lane after being called at 4.12pm.
"The caravan was in dense woodland," said Paul Honeghan, of Herefordshire and Worcestershire Fire Service. "The fire had spread from a bonfire to a caravan and then to approximately 30 square metres of woodland and undergrowth."
Firefighters used beaters and backpacks carrying a water supply as well as a water supply from a nearby stream.
There were no reports of any injuries.
