PUBS and restaurants in north Herefordshire are helping to raise money for the county’s over 50s.

They are taking part in Age Concern Leominster and District’s Big Sunday Lunch, which is part of a national event.

Participating venues are either holding raffles, having a collection box or adding £1 to the cost of a lunch, with the proceeds going directly to the charity.

The event takes place on October 19 with the following venues taking part: The Three Horseshoes, Black Horse and Grape Vaults in Leominster, the New Inn and Oakchurch Farm in Staunton on Wye, The Red Lion at Pembridge, The Riverside Inn at Aymestry, The Stagg Inn at Titley, The Boot Inn at Orleton and The Temeside Inn at Little Hereford.

Other venues wishing to take part should call Wendy at Age Concern on 01568 611054.
