A COUNTY political party wants to help migrant workers play a full part in British life.

The North Herefordshire Labour Party is reminding EU and Commenwealth citizens they have the right to register to vote in council and European elections, join a political party and join a trade union.

Workers from outside the EU and Commenwealth can still join trade unions and political parties.

Speakers at a public meeting include West Midlands MEP Neena Gill, Herefordshire Council diversity officer Neville Meredith, GMB regional organiser David Day and the regional industrial organiser for T&G Section and Unite the Union, Roger Shutt.

The meeting takes place at Leominster Community Centre on October 18 and starts at 2pm.
