VILLAGERS had fun in the sun at Eardisland Fun Day last Saturday.
The Eardisland village band, a children’s fancy dress, dog show, bouncy castle and much more kept hundreds of villagers entertained, while the annual tug-of-war trophy was retained by The Cross Inn after a battle with rival pub White Swan.
Jemima Parry-Jones, who is building an International Birds of Prey Centre in Eardisland, showed a number of her birds.
More than £1,000 was raised and all profits will go to the St Mary’s Church heating appeal.
