Herefordshire church warden to face child sex offences

A FARMER has appeared in court charged with a series of child sex offences.

Michael Allfrey, aged 69, of Wildgoose Hill Farm, Storridge, is accused of 23 offences alleged to have taken place between August and November last year.

Mr Allfrey did not enter a plea to any of the charges, which include allegations that he sexually assaulted a child under the age of 13 by touching.

Appearing at Hereford Magistrates Court today, Mr Allfrey, who is a parish councillor and church warden, was released on conditional bail to appear at the same court on March 19.
