A YOUNG archaeologist from Ledbury has been digging up the past on Britain’s greatest playwright.
Chloe Randall has been excavating with experts at Shakespeare’s final home after winning a magazine competition.
The 11-year-old won a Young Archaeologist competition to spend a day at NewPlace in Stratford-upon- Avon. Three youngsters from the West Midlands worked alongside professionals and volunteers from Birmingham Archaeology.
The trio discovered pieces of Tudor brick, charcoal and pottery remains.
Organisers said they were enthusiastic about the experience and enjoyed getting their hands dirty.
