THE Presteigne and Norton Zero Waste team will be out during Zero Waste Week from Monday (Sept 3) to encourage residents to carry on recycling.
Special events include a Museum of Bad Design discussion at Presteigne Memorial Hall, tea tasting, lessons on cooking left overs and a celebration of plastics saved from going to landfill.
The local events coincide with National Zero Waste Week.
- Welsh Government environment minister John Griffiths will visit Presteigne on Tuesday, September 11 to see first hand how the border town is sending less to landfil through its Zero Waste initiative.
