Teenagers injured in A44 road crash

TWO teenagers were injured when a car crashed into a tree on the A44 near Kington.

The 19-year-old female driver, whose blue Peugeot 205 left the A44 near the Radnor Forest bends at 5.20pm yesterday (Wednesday), was taken to Hereford County Hospital with head injuries.

A 16-year-old passenger was airlifted by a RAF helicopter from RAF Kinloss to the Heath hospital in Cardiff where her condition is described as critical.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
