Family fun on the cards as festival winds down

8:30am Saturday 19th June 2010

Kington residents can enjoy a “great family day out” today as the town festival comes to a head.

A carnival procession will leave the Meads at 1pm and make its way through the town centre with help from the Radnor Valley Ceilidh band.

Prizes accrued throughout the 10-day event will then be presented at the Recreation Ground, alongside entertainment from On The Edge stunt show, Woody the One Man Band and others.

A duck race, stalls, mini funfair and a car boot sale will also take place before a Tug-o-War competition rounds off the day’s entertainment.

A Save The Children tea party at Bridge House tomorrow afternoon and a Big Band Bash at Kington Football Club that evening will then conclude this year’s event.
