KINGTON youngsters are all set for a sporty summer after work began on a brand new £70,000 play space last week.
Children will get the best of a zip wire, climbing tower and other activities - that they suggested themselves during a consultation process - from March onwards after Herefordshire Council pledged £40,000 to the scheme and local housing developers £32,000.
Steve Hodges, from Friends of the Crooked Well Meadow, called the site off Llewellin Road an “exciting attraction for people of all ages to enjoy”.
