KINGTON residents can get a possible £500 cash boost by meeting energy experts.
All householders in the town will be eligible for a grant to help with energy saving measures as part of a Herefordshire Council scheme aimed at tackling fuel poverty.
Its energy efficiency team will visit Kington on Tuesday, along with its new ‘energy champion’, Councillor Phil Cutter.
“In my new role, I am keen to get out and about and help the people most in need so would urge anyone who is struggling to pay their fuel bills to come to the Kington Information Centre where we will be able to offer advice and possible cash support,”
he said.
Homeowners will hear about money saving measures, such as thermostats and insulation, at the event between 10am and 4pm.
