THE long-awaited development of Kington’s Wesleyan Chapel is up for consideration with apartment plans submitted to Herefordshire Council.
Builth Wells developer JR Homes Ltd wants to create nine one-bedroom flats in the latest attempt to convert the dilapidated 19th century site.
It follows a £1.1 million library project in 2003 which collapsed amid access concerns, despite residents voting in its favour.
A decision on the future of the chapel, at which John Wesley himself preached in 1746, is expected in August.
