Bank records on show in Kington

RESIDENTS in Kington have been getting to know a bit more about the HSBC building on while doing their banking on High Street this week.
Old records and pictures dating back to 1808 are on display until Monday to mark its 200 year anniversary.
The company has traced the branch back to its days as Kington and Radnorshire Bank, though its roots are thought to lie as far back as the 18th century, and found that managers would live in the bank house above the office right up until the 1980s.
The display is available to view in the office until Monday.
