GOOD news about future of Kington Court health and social centre is expected at a public meeting next week.
Herefordshire PCT spokesman Paul Ryan said plans to re-open the home to residential patients in the next couple of weeks would be reported on Tuesday.
The £3 million complex was put at risk following an inspection by the Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI) earlier this year which ruled that concerns – thought to involve record keeping and staff competence – were justified and it was put under close supervision.
Mayor of Kington Allan Lloyd, who called the meeting, was optimistic about the outcome.
“I feel that we need to be as transparent as possible. We have got to give the information as soon as it becomes public. There will be an opportunity for questions and comments – let’s hope 98% will be answered,” he said.
The meeting will take place at the Masonic Hall at 7pm.
