KNIGHTON scenery is drawing walkers from across the country thanks to a council initiative to tempt visiting ramblers.
Powys County Council is hailing its Trail Tempter programme a success after hosting its most recent visitors, from Neath Rambling Group in South Wales, on a seven mile walk from the town’s Offa’s Dyke Centre.
National trail officer Rob Dingle said: “We had a great day even though the weather wasn’t great. The group were will equipped for the rain and it didn’t put them off. Members of the group also promised to be back again next year for another section of the trail.”
There are nine further walks planned in this year.
