KINGTON’S three long stay car parks in High Street, Love Lane and Market Hall Street will remain free of charge despite a countywide review of parking prices.
But the town’s medium stay Mill Street car park will be 30p an hour and all-day parking will cost £1.20 from 2nd June onwards.
Councillor Brian Wilcox, Herefordshire Council’s cabinet member for highways and transportation, said: “As part of our policy to encourage people to visit our market towns, parking in Kington remains mostly free and even in the one charging car park motorists can still park all day for just £1.20.”
Season ticket prices for the Mill Street car park are to remain unchanged at £45 per quarter.
