Two men arrested in Hereford this morning

TWO men were arrested in the early hours of this morning on suspicion of interference with a motor vehicle.

Police were called just after 12.50am to a report of two men acting suspiciously by a vehicle at Addison Court on Edgar Street.

The men made off on foot before the police could get there but on arriving at the scene officers found a Ford Ranger vehicle with a catalytic converter partially cut off.

Two men - aged 23 and 30 - were soon arrested following a search of the area.

Detective Inspector Martyn Barnes said: "I would like to thank the member of the public who called us to report this incident and it just goes to show how important it is for people to call us immediately if they see anything suspicious.

"The help of the public is vital if we are to continue to tackle crime in the county and I would ask anyone who sees anything like this that concerns them to call us as soon as they can.”
