Rockfield's closing down sale has attracted hundreds of shoppers this morning.

People started arriving before 7am and there is now a queue of more than  200 shoppers patiently waiting outside the store for their chance to grab a bargain.

The sale has created such an interest that traffic jams have built up on the roads around Aylestone Hill.

Many commuters were late for work as 10-minute journeys turned into 40-minute crawls.
