Mum and daughter take on Great North Run

A DAUGHTER’S charity activities have inspired her mum to join her in this year’s Great North Run.


Mother and daughter Paula and Anna McGivern will be running side-by-side in Saturday’s race in Newcastle.
 

Anna – from Hereford, but a student at York University – raised more than £400 running for the Catholic Agency for Overseas Development (CAFOD) in 2011.
 

Mum Paula was so moved that when Anna announced she was to take part in the half-marathon again this year, she volunteered to join her.
