Historical Hereford Day has been hailed a success with a procession from Hereford Cathedral, led by Bromyard town crier Peder Nielsen, as well as music from medieval minstrels Diabolus In Musica.

This year’s event fell on Bastille Day (July 14) and many activities had a French theme, including a special demonstration of 18th century crime and punishment, including the guillotine.

For anyone who missed it sailing in the River Thames Jubilee Pageant or standing proud on the King George V Playing Fields during the Queen’s visit, the Hereford Trow also made an appearance.
