The head boy and head girl at Hereford Cathedral Junior School are taking on an SAS challenge.

Lily Matheson and Dom Larkin are only 11 but will both be covering 23 kilometres of steep, undulating terrain in the Brecon Beacons this Sunday.

The Fan Dance Challenge that awaits the two pupils is often carried out by potential SAS and Special Forces recruits.

The pair’s efforts will raise money for the Richard Parks 737 Challenge, Hereford-based Little Princess Trust and Help for Heroes.
