THE noted civil liberties campaigner, Shami Chakrabarti, is to speak in Hereford.

The director of Liberty, who has argued for freedom of speech and led public opposition to ID cards, will be at Arte from 6.30pm on Thursday.

Hereford's Conservative parliamentary candidate Jesse Norman will also be present at the free event which will feature a question and answer session following the talk.
