Flaming pastry causes alarm

FIRE officers were called to a Hereford care home last night (Monday) after a danish pastry caught fire.
Two appliances attended Martha House, Old Eign Hill, at 10.30pm following a microwave oven fire in the staff kitchen.
Officers used ventilation equipment to clear smoke from a hallwall, while the fire was quickly contained.
No-one was injured or evacuated.
