A HEREFORD youth has appeared in court following a fatal crash near Burghill. The 17-year-old male has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving, and driving while under the influence of alcohol.
The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, entered no plea before Hereford magistrates this morning (Friday).
The charges relate to a fatal crash early on Thursday morning on the A438 Roman Road.
A male passenger, aged 18, was killed when the driver’s Nissan Micra collided with a tree at the Tillington Road junction.
The driver was not injured in the crash at 3.10am. He was arrested at the scene and taken to Leominster Police Station.
He has been released on conditional bail and is due to re-appear before magistrates on May 20.
