A fathers' rights campaigner posted a dead hedgehog through his ex-partner’s letterbox in Hay-on-Wye.

Simon Clayton, of Llanigon, near Hay, sent the animal to Adele Nozedar’s shop in Hay during an 18-month campaign of harassment.

The 49-year-old, who was jailed for abducting his daughter ahead of a custody battle in 2003, had already been told to stay away from Miss Nozedar, a well known Breconshire author, and made the subject of a restraining order in September 2010.

At Brecon Law Courts last month Clayton was found guilty of breaching that order. He was sentenced with a 12-month community order with 200 hours of unpaid work and costs of £1,000.
