Barn service broadcast

A RELIGIOUS service for agriculture held at a Golden Valley farm is to feature on the radio. The BBC recorded a special ceremony, attended by 50 people in a barn at New Court Farm in Brobury, and is due to broadcast it locally on Sunday (April 27).
Solo harpist Frances Hughes, 14, added to the occasion, held to mark Rogation Sunday when parishioners traditionally walked the boundaries of the parish and prayers were said for good crops, which is celebrated by churches across the county.
Diocese spokesperson Anni Holden said: “The local Monday Choir was augmented by the local birds, who sang along with gusto.”
