First the Whip's office, next possibly his seat. At face value a charming and pleasant fellow. A veneer placed by his privileged background and Etonian education. Sadly a lack of genuine intelligence and charisma, coupled with a convenient approach to morality and expense claims show more of the real man than the shallow bon homie.
In modern politics it takes such a long time to find people out, then it's a knighthood to sweeten the sackings. I suspect Bill Wiggin's back stabbing artistry has been discovered by his Ministerial colleagues. better late than never.

Agree with oldrightie. Spot, well put. What is ruining this country is so many voters voting for their tribe instead of the man/woman. Wiggin got away with his scandals because of the morally bankrupt Tory voters who said not a word back in 2009, nor in 2010 when the PSC investigation found Wiggin guilty of most charges made against him & the fact he refused to cooperate with the investigation. I would say the same if he were Labour or Lib. Therein, lies a deep flaw in the Democratic system, where a corrupt majority can force upon a morally decent minority a man such as Wiggin.

Here is my prediction for Bill, he will lose his seat either by being voted out or by the boundary changes, he will then change parties to become an IOC candidate .. or in plain speak he'll do anything to keep himself in the limelight.

Colin, I hope you are correct. After involving myself in politics when Wiggin's expenses scandals came to light I realise what Ludovic Kennedy meant after a lifetime interviewing politicians, 'I now know how civil wars are started!' Besides his bankrupt morality, Wiggin, as Eamonn Holmes remarked on national tv, is not the brightest bulb in the box. In the Tory Daily Mail Simon Heffer called called him a shyster. Nice one, Simon (Dictionary def: A shyster is a slang word for someone who acts in a disreputable, unethical, or unscrupulous way, especially in the practice of law, politics or business).

Seems the local MP's are not in favour at Westminster of late. First Jesse's altercation with Mr Cameron over the Lords Reform now this for Bungling Bill. Methinks the days for both are numbered. Boundary restructuring will be a nice cheap way to get rid of Wiggin.

I am genuinely amazed management staff on the Hfd Times, such as Bill Tanner, has allowed these criticisms of Wiggin to stay posted! Truly amazed. Is this because of change in editors in last couple of years I wonder.
