Herefordshire Council leader John Jarvis expresses sympathy with flood victims

HEREFORDSHIRE Council leader John Jarvis has expressed his sympathy with those householders who have suffered the brunt of today’s flooding.
Ross-on-Wye has been particularly badly hit by the downpour but other parts of the county, including Yarpole and Aymestry in north Herefordshire, have suffered too.
“Along with fellow councillors, I’ve seen first-hand the devastation floods cause and I have every sympathy with all those who have been affected in any way today,” said Coun Jarvis.
“They have my assurance that we will work as hard as is possible to support them and ensure their lives return to as normal as possible, as soon as possible.”
“I would ask people, particularly those in more rural areas, to make sure their neighbours are ok, particularly if they are frail or elderly.”
