A MAN was trapped under the front wheel of a car for more than an hour last night.
Firefighters were called to Lugwardine at 8.10pm and worked alongside a doctor to free his legs using low air bags.
“While we can’t be sure exactly how the man came to be trapped under the car, we do know that he had been there for around an hour when fire crews arrived, with both legs trapped and temperatures well below zero,” said watch commander Neil Fowler.
“Thankfully we were able to release him fairly quickly using the air bags to lift the car and he was taken by ambulance to hospital for treatment.”
