A MAN arrested on suspicion of a cashpoint robbery in north Herefordshire is being hunted by Police after failing to answer his bail.
Peter Oates, who is 25 and from Merseyside, was arrested in connection with a ‘cash-in-transit’ robbery which happened in the early hours of September 3, 2010 at the HSBC in High Street, Leintwardine.
Two delivery men were walking towards the bank when they were approached by a group of four. Violence was then used before cashboxes containing thousands of pounds were handed over.
Two men have already been charged with robbery as a result.
Detective Inspector Carl Moore from West Mercia Police, said: “It is vital we trace Mr Oates as soon as we can.
“He has knowingly avoided answering his bail and remains at large by deliberately evading capture.”
Anyone with information should call West Mercia Police on 0300 333 3000 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
