A TEENAGE boy has been taken to hospital with serious head injuries after he was hit by a car.
Two ambulances attended Commercial Road in Hereford at 10.30pm on Friday.
The incident happened just 300 metres from Hereford County Hospital.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “Crews arrived to find a 17 year old boy lying in the road and a car nearby.
“The teenager suffered a serious head injury and was unconscious. Given the close proximity of the hospital, crews immediately immobilised the boy with a neck collar and spinal board and transferred him to the nearby accident and emergency department at Hereford County Hospital.
“No one else was injured in the crash.”
