Ex-dominatrix seeks a ‘good Christian hubby’

LINDI St Clair made her name through scandals and notoriety.

But now she’s cleaned up her act – thanks to religion and a life-threatening crash near her Herefordshire home.

It’s been a year since the 57- year-old was rescued from her overturned Jeep in a stream in Risbury, near Leominster.

She was trapped in the car for 22 hours after leaving the road and rolling down an embankment.

She lost her dog, John, in the ordeal and is still regaining mobility a year after treatment.

But the former dominatrix known in the popular press as Miss Whiplash has never been happier, having embraced Christianity after the near-death experience.

She recently returned to the crash scene with a priest to say prayers for her dog, who she owned for eight years.

“My life has completely changed and I feel so much happier than I did before,”

said Lindi.

“I have reverted back to my real name, Marian, and I want nothing to do with the past. I sold all my stuff on eBay and burned a lot of it.

“Miss Whiplash is a persona I made up – it was a character that I invented but it wasn’t really me.

“I was given a fresh start the day I came out of hospital and my attitude to life, people and the universe has changed completely.”

As a consequence, Marian – born Marian June – has become a regular churchgoer and often does readings.

She is looking for a “good Christian husband”, but it could take a while to find her ideal match.

“I would love an operasinging vicar who does veterinary work on the side,”

she laughs.

“It’s a bit of a niche but I’m hopeful.”
