GIRL Guides from Herefordshire staged a human monopoly day using Herefordshire as the board.
Starting in the county’s market towns, teams were given a timetable and a disposable camera and challenged to complete a quiz on the town.
They then had to take photographs, and collect tickets or leaflets to prove that they had visited certain landmarks.
As they travelled on public transport between the towns, the teams also collected extra points for spotting landmarks on their journey.
By 3.30pm, they reached Hereford and, through a series of clues, they went to the Old House and the tourism office where they were given a ‘get out of jail’ card. This card allowed them to release one member of the Girl Guide Association who was locked up in the Shirehall cells.
After developing their photos, the teams gave a presentation of their day. The winning team was the Sheep Shearers from Leominster.
