FUND-RAISING - Whitney toll bridge will be free to all users this Saturday as the barriers are lifted in a fund-raising spree. Volunteers in fancy dress outfits will be keen to help you part with any spare coins, offer bacon rolls, tea and cake and a specially prepared local knowledge quiz. Crocodiles Pre-school in Whitney and Busy Bees from the other side of the border have been offered the opportunity to bucket shake on the bridge from 10am-4pm. Both are registered charities and rely on community support.
