Weobley pentecost walk

PENTECOST WALK - Everyone is welcome to join in on the Churches Together Pentecost Walk on Sunday. Meeting at 3pm at the Anglican church attendees will walk through the cider blossom orchards and Windmill Knapp to tea at the Methodist chapel at 4.30pm. Contact Jo Ware 01544 318296 for details.

WIRELESS TALK - Herefordshire Rural Community Council organised a successful meeting at Weobley to consider the formation of wireless discussion groups for the coming winter.

WEOBLEY AND DISTRICT BOWLING CLUB - Are hosting an evening with comedian Andy Oakley at Weobley Village Hall, tomorrow (Friday) 7pm for 7.30pm. Andy Oakley has been a professional comedian for 30 years and last year entertained Kingsland Bowling Club with his quick-fire humour. Tickets can be obtained from Diane on 01544 318178 at £10 (to include a burger or hot dog supper).

BINGO - Weobley Bowling Club has its Christmas prize bingo on Monday at the village hall, eyes down at 8pm. Also a reminder about the Saturday night concert in the hall with the Birchpole Singers. There will be festive nibbles and mulled wine. All to raise funds for the club.

GILBERT AND SULLIVAN - Weobley and District Bowling Club holds a concert on Saturday at Hopelands Village Hall at 7.30pm. Tickets are £8 to include a ploughman’s supper, available from Diane Rice on 01544 318178, Brenda Havard on 318727 or on the door.
