GARDEN CLUB - The Stoke Lacy and District garden club will meet in the village hall at 8pm Tuesday, for its AGM followed by a social evening. New members are always welcome.
CHRISTMAS TREE FESTIVAL - At St Peter and St Paul’s Church at Stoke Lacy there will be a Christmas tree festival during the weekend of Dec 2nd to 4th. Beginning at 7.30pm on December 2, there will be a talk on Christmas Customs in Tudor Times by Elizabeth Pimblett. Tickets £4 including festive refreshments.
From 11am-3pm, on December 3, there will be a Christmas Fayre. Lunchtime refreshments will be available, including soup and rolls, and there will be plenty of stalls for those unusual special Christmas gifts.
At 7.30pm on December 3, Village Voices will be putting on a Christmas Concert. Tickets £4 including festive refreshments.
OPEN STUDIOS - In association with h.Art, Collin Simmonds at Nethercourt, Stoke Lacy, and Nigel Montandon at Stoke House will be opening their studios on December 3rd and 4th, from 10am to 5pm. Nigel will be displaying a range of hand-thrown and decorated ceramics and the potter’s wheel will be available for anyone to have a go. Great fun for young or old! Both studios are off the main road near Stoke Lacy Church and will be signposted.
