Staunton-on-Wye annual meetings

ANNUAL MEETINGS - The statutory annual parish meetings for Staunton-on-Wye and Brobury with Monnington-on-Wye parishes will be held in Staunton-on- Wye Village Hall on Monday, commencing at 7.15pm. Following these meetings, Staunton-on-Wye Group Parish Council will hold its annual meeting.

MAY FAIR - Staunton-on-Wye Primary School will hold its annual May Fair on Saturday from 2pm-4pm. Great fun for all the family, all welcome.

PUBLIC MEETING – A public meeting will be held in the Staunton on Wye village hall on Saturday from 2.30pm to discuss the possibility of the Staunton on Wye Group Parish Council developing a Neighbourhood Plan. All residents are invited.

WHIST DRIVE - Play tomorrow (Friday) at the village hall. Doors open 7pm, start at 7.30pm.

WHIST DRIVE - On March 22 in Staunton-on-Wye Village Hall (HR4 7LR). Doors open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start. £2 per person which includes light refreshments. In aid of Acorns Children’s Hospice and Midland Air Ambulance. Donations of prizes gratefully accepted.

COFFEE - A coffee morning will be held on Saturday at Staunton-on-Wye Village Hall from 10.30am to noon. There will be a cake stall, cards, raffle and tombola and second hand toys. Proceeds in aid of St Mary's Church.

COUNCIL - At the May meeting of the group parish council, Tom Bennett stood down as chairman after 15 years of loyal support to the local community. Austen Powles was elected as the new chairman.
