FUN DAY - Presteigne Colts under-nines and under-10s are holding a fun day at the football club on July 14 from noon-4pm, with a bouncy castle, barbecue, penalty shootout, music, bar, car boot, raffle plus much more.
Entrance is £2 for adults and £1 for children.

TAPAS - The Wine Bar is having a Tinto tapas night on July 13 and local chef Suzanne Beaumont Davies will be giving a cookery demonstration. Tickets, £15 to include a glass of fizz and nibbles, must be purchased in advance from Deli Tinto or the Wine Bar.

COUNCIL - Presteigne and Norton Town Council meets on July 18 at 7.30pm in the Shire Hall. The public are welcome to attend.
GATHER ROUND - Marion Rowlatt invites you to gather round the piano for a sing-song on July 14 from 11am-12.30pm in the Assembly Rooms. Adults will cost £4 with children free.
Singers and musicians are both welcome.
ACTIVITY WEEK - Prestreigne 5x60 are holding an activity week from August 6-10 at the Leisure Centre, 9am-4pm each day. The cost for the week is £25. Activities include basketball, tennis, rounders, netball, street dance, squash, swimming, zorbs, football plus much more. Swimming kit and a packed lunch is required each day. The week is suitable for children aged eight-14. Booking is essential, as places are limited, on 260302.
FALCONRY - There will be a falconry display with Layla Bennett from Hawksdrift Falconry at New Radnor Community Hall on July 13 at 7pm (doors open 6.30pm). Admission is £5 for adults and £2.50 for under-14s. All proceeds to Dragon Fire After School Club. For details, call Jane Bartlett on 07968 349456.
ARTS AND CRAFTS - The monthly arts and crafts fair is on Saturday at the Assembly Rooms from 9.30am-3.30pm. All the stalls are from local artists selling their own work.

FLORAL - The next meeting of Presteigne and Borders Floral Arts Society is on Wednesday at the Memorial Hall at 7.30pm. This month Andrew Lloyd will give a demonstration on midsummer. Visitors are welcome for £5. For further details, call 01547 529244.
SERVICES - There are services of Holy Communion on Sunday at Kinsham at 9.30am and Presteigne at 11am and a thanksgiving service at Lingen at 11am.
WOMEN TOGETHER - The next meeting is on Wednesday at Bramley with teas and scones.

FAIR - The Catholic Church will be holding its annual summer fair at the Memorial Hall on July 14 from 10am-1pm. There will be refreshments, cakes, crafts, plants, flowers, books, tombola, games and competitions plus lots more. Everyone is most welcome.
SURGERY - The monthly surgeries given by Presteigne and Norton Town Council will continue this Saturday and the first Saturday in the month at the Assembly Rooms from 10am-noon. If you have any issues or concerns, let your councillors know.
MARKET - The monthly market is at the Memorial Hall on Saturday from 9.30am with all the usual stalls.
SHEEP MUSIC - This year’s Sheep Music festival weekend is fastly approaching, from July 20-22 at Wentes Meadow. A weekend pass costs £60, available from the Salty Dog in High Street or at sheepmusicfestival.com.
SINGING HISTORIES - A concert at St Andrew’s Church at 4pm and 5.15pm next Thursday (July 12) features a children’s community choir of more than 150 voices. The children will be accompanied by a professional ensemble conducted by George Vass.
Admission is free. This concert is part of Presteigne Festival Education outreach.
CONCERT - There will be a summer concert with Whitton Voices with a capella world music at Pilleth Church on July 13 at 8pm.
Admission is £5 with proceeds going to Wateraid.
FUN DAY - Presteigne Little People’s Playgroup is holding a fun day and car boot sale on Sunday from 1pm-4pm at Wentes Meadow. There will be lots of children’s activities as well as stalls, refreshments and lots more. To book a boot or for more information, call 07866 744855. Please feel free to bring your own picnic.
COFFEE MORNING - There will be a coffee morning on Saturday at Hill Farm by kind permission of Mrs Evelyn Davies from 10.30am. If transportation is required please ring 267253. All proceeds will go to the Methodist Church.
