DEDICATION SUMMER CONCERT - The children at John Beddoes School invite everyone to their summer concert in the Ivor Hughes Centre at the school on June 20 at 7pm.
Admission will be £4 for adults and £2 for concessions/children. There will be lots of different music. The concert will be dedicated to the memory of the late Sam Boughton by his form, 9T. Sam was killed in a road traffic accident earlier this year along with his mother.
ARTS SOCIETY - The next meeting of Presteigne and Borders Floral Arts Society will take place on Wednesday at the Memorial Hall from 7.30pm. This month Phil Wolf of Frosts Flowers will give a demonstration.
The theme for this month’s competition is Sixty Glorious Years. Visitors’ entry is £5 or join for £20 for 12 months. Everyone is welcome.

SUMMER FAIR - The annual St Andrew’s summer fair will be on June 23 from 2pm.
There will be refreshments, plants, cake stall, flowers, bric-a-brac, a grand raffle, tombola and much more.
OPEN DAY - Presteigne Allotments Association is holding an open day on June 16. All are welcome to pop along and see what’s growing at the moment.
PRESTEIGNE FOOD TRAIL - There will be a food trail in Presteigne on June 16 from 9am to 6pm in various parts of the town. There will be lots going on including cafes, stalls, tents, music, gardens, workshops plus more.
It will be a free culinary day out for everyone.

GARDEN PARTY - The annual garden party in aid of Presteigne and Borders Floral Arts Society takes place at 1 Clatterbrune Estate on Saturday from 11am to 3.30pm. There will be light lunches and refreshments available as well as a tombola, plant stall, raffle, brica- brac, cakes, produce and lots more. Entry is free and everyone is welcome.
WOMEN TOGETHER - The next meeting of Women Together takes place on Wednesday at the Assembly Rooms at 2.30pm. Delphine Carter will give a talk on the history of Presteigne. Visitors are most welcome.
THE CIRCLE - The new group The Circle meet every Tuesday from 10.30am to 2pm at The Youth Centre by the police station. It is a drop-in group where you can go and meet new people or have a coffee and a chat.

AFTERNOON TEA - Readers are invited to afternoon tea and a variety concert at Cwmwhitton, between Whitton and Knighton, on June 17 from 4.30pm. Admission is £8 for adults and £4 for children. GARDENS OPEN - The gardens at Knill are open on Sunday from 2pm-5pm. You can take the riverside walk and have teas on the terrace. There will also be live music on the croquet lawn.
GARDENING CLUB - The next meeting of Lingen Gardening Club will be a visit to Stapleton Castle Gardens, by kind permission of Margaret Griffiths, on Tuesday.
OPEN GARDENS - The gardens at Mistletoe House in Combe and Ivy Cottages in Kinsham are open to the public on Wednesday from 1.30pm-5pm in aid of the National Gardens Scheme. Everyone is welcome.
VINTAGE SHOW - The annual Presteigne and Norton vintage car and motorcycle show takes place at Wentes Meadow on Sunday from 10.30am to 4.30pm. There will be an autojumble, car boot sale, refreshments plus lots more. All gate money and donations will go to the Wales Air Ambulance. WORKSHOP - Edward Storey leads a workshop at St Michael’s Church in Discoed on June 16 from 10.30am-5pm on ‘The Three Thomases’ - a look at the work of Edward Thomas, RS Thomas and Dylan Thomas.

OPEN MIC NIGHT - There is an open mic evening with Stevie Yeomans at The Wine Bar next Wednesday from 8.30pm. Just turn up and play or turn up and listen. It’s that simple. Everyone welcome.
GATHER ROUND - Marion Rowlatt invites you to gather round the piano at The Assembly Rooms on June 9 from 11am-12.30pm. Just turn up and sing a song or listen or join in with everyone else. It’s that simple. Everyone welcome.
CHURCH SERVICE - On June 10 there will be a service of Holy Communion at Kinsham at 9.30am. This will be followed by a service of Holy Communion at St Andrew’s Church at 11am. Everyone is most welcome to either service.
MONEY RAISED - Presteigne and Norton Community Support made £92 at the recent coffee morning and £170.65 at the recent jumble sale. They would like to thank everyone for their support and help.
CEILIDH - Sue Harris and Bandamania invite you to the Presteigne Food Trail Ceilidh at Wentes Meadow from 7-9pm on June 16.
Admission is free but donations will be gratefully received. Food and drinks will be available to buy.
