FOOTBALL CLUB – There is a busy weekend ahead at Presteigne Football Club. On Saturday the first team entertain Abermule in The Spar Mid Wales League Div 2. Then on Sunday there are two cup finals. At 2.30pm Brecon will entertain either Knighton or Builth in the final of The Alfred Sparey Cup.

FOOTBALL CLUB - The 100 Club draw for the month of December was drawn by club treasurer Rose Weiland. £100 went to Howard and Lynne Owens, £50 Laura Shepherd, £40 John and Chris Powell and £25 to Ivor and Dorothy Randell. The club wishes to thank everyone for their continued support. The next draw will take place in the Royal Oak on January 25 at 9pm.

CLASSES - There are a number of classes starting/continuing in January. Yoga classes continue on Thursdays in the Memorial Hall from 7pm-8.30pm with Jenny Matthews. For details, call 267451. Alanya is taking belly dancing classes at St Andrew’s Church Hall on Mondays between 8pm-9pm. Call Abbie on 07962 161081 for details. Also at St Andrew’s Church hall on Thursdays there are T'ai Chi classes for beginners and intermediates. Call 262161 for details and times. If it’s boxing and aerobic exercise you need, then Fight Klub could be the answer on Monday and Wednesday evenings at The Youth Centre in Hereford Street. Phone Niall on 07769 220159. Or if it’s Zumba you want, to shed those extra pounds from the festive period, then Mandy has Zumba classes at the Memorial Hall on Wednesdays, 7pm-8pm.
