Pembridge musical evening, police surgery, pride in Pembridge and whist drive

MUSICAL EVENING - On June 30, there will be an evening of ancient folk and contemporary music with The Loxley Trio in Bearwood Methodist Chapel, starting at 7.30pm. The £6 tickets include light refreshments and are available from Jean Gwatkin on 01544 388428 and Sheila Jones 01544 388569.

POLICE SURGERY - Today (Thursday) in The Steppes Shop between 11am and 1pm.

PRIDE IN PEMBRIDGE - Will meet as usual in the Market Square today (Thursday) at 10am.

WHIST DRIVE - The Thursday whist drives in the village hall have started again after a short summer break. Starting at 8pm, admission is £3 which includes refreshments and the opportunity to win good cash prizes relative to the number of tables. There is also a raffle with a variety of prizes to be won. The proposed format for future whist drives is on the first Thursday of the month partners, second semi, third no trumps, fourth semi and when there is a fifth Thursday it will be progressive whist. New players will be very welcome to join in these events.
