Pembridge produce and crafts, jubilee and pride in Pembridge

PRIDE IN Pembridge - Meet today (Thursday) at 10am in Pembridge Market Square.

PRODUCE AND CRAFTS - The first market of the year will be held in the Market Square on Saturday between 9.30am and 12.30pm.

JUBILEE - The weekend begins with a scarecrow competition throughout the village on the theme of royalty and there will be a flower festival and exhibition in the church all weekend. On June 2 there are afternoon events for all on Millennium Meadow and in the jubilee marquee, with bouncy castle and slide, face painting, wellie wanging, bunnies, bugs and beasties. The decorated hat competition is on the theme “suitable for a royal occasion”. Children’s fancy dress and an afternoon of family sports and wheelbarrow racing. Teas and homemade cakes will be available all afternoon. There will be a bar during the afternoon and evening with a barbeque and children’s disco starting at 6.30pm. Live band Business as Usual will play from 8.30pm until the end of the evening. On June 3 the folk group Pyke Staff will play at the Market Hall between noon and 2pm with roast pork baps available at the New Inn. Cream teas will be available in the church.
