CHRISTMAS BAZAAR - At Mordiford School on November 20, 1-4pm. A great selection of stalls for those Christmas ideas. Children's Christmas craft making and games, Santas grotto. Christmas tombola and raffle.

Refreshments with warm mulled wine and hot mince pies. Please join in the fun.

PARISH COUNCIL - Dormington and Mordiford group parish council. At the meeting on November 1, a new lay-out for the affordable housing scheme at Sufton Rise was presented. A further consultation event will take place at Mordiford School on November 28, between 4-7pm. All welcome.

The parish council has agreed to support a trial monthly bus service which Fownhope parish council is organising. It will run between Mordiford and Ross-on-Wye, starting in the Spring. At both the October and November meetings, residents have raised the issue of parking in the village. The parish council has requested that the double yellow lines near the junction of the C1292 and the B4224 be extended by one to two car lengths to ease the congestion around the junction. The parish council is also fully supportive of attempts by the parents at the school to find a solution to the parking difficulties.

A jubilee group formed from representatives of organisations in the group parish have been meeting to discuss plans for jubilee celebrations. The parish council has agreed to contribute towards costs. Help is still needed with the planning of events – if you can spare a few hours please contact the parish clerk, Mel Preedy on 01432 769480.
