Monkland fete, Macmillian and autumn show

FETE - The annual village fete is on Saturday at 2pm at The Beeches, by kind permission of Mrs Porter. Various stalls on show such as cake, books, white elephant and bottle, also face painting, skittles, home-made teas and ice-cream. Pop along and join in the fun and games with background music from a fairground organ.

MACMILLIAN - A cheque for £460 has been given to Hereford Macmillian. The proceeds totalling £104 from a sponsored walk by Wendy Jancey, 13-year-old Holly Watkins and six-year-old Lucy Williams and £356 fro, Monkland bingo players.

AUTUMN SHOW - The annual autumn show will be held in the village hall a little earlier this year on August 20. Schedules and details available from Wendy Jancey on 720265.
