Marden gardeners' association talk and snowdrop weekend

GARDENERS’ ASSOCIATION - January speaker David Griffiths of Bodenham spoke on perennials. Backed up by his very knowledgeable wife, David took us through ground preparation, composting, selection of plants, planting, care through the winter and taking cuttings. The association is a group of very friendly and keen gardeners who enjoy sharing with each other and getting advice, tips and interesting information from visiting guest speakers. It meets every second Tuesday of the month in the Community Centre at 7.30pm. The next meeting is on February 14, when John Robinson talks on a Natural History of the Wyre Forest. SNOWDROP WEEKEND - The famed snowdrops in the churchyard at St Mary’s are coming into full bloom. See the beautiful flowers and enjoy tea and cake in the church. Refreshments in aid of church funds will be available between 2pm and 4pm on February 4 and 5.
