CONCERT - There will be a concert by the West Midland Bell Ensemble at St Mary’s Church, Marden, on Saturday, November 14, at 7pm. The ensemble will be playing a variety of music with a resounding performance of five octaves of hand bells and three octaves of hand chimes. The concert offers a rare opportunity to hear this range of hand bell ringing. The performance will be interspersed with other entertainment and a finger buffet supper. MEETING - The History Society’s next meeting is on Monday, November 16, at 7.30pm in the community centre. Frank Bennett will give a talk on postal history in Herefordshire. Frank is a co-writer of cricketing books if you want any signed. Admission is free to members, non-members £2. Light refreshments available. The society’s calendar for 2010 will also be on sale.
