HISTORY SOCIETY - The society is holding its next meeting on Monday at 7.30pm in the community centre. Joy Davey will present two films from the Huntlty Film Archive, one about the Welsh marches from Chepstow to Prestatyn and the other on the construction of the Severn Tunnel.

SPRING SHOW—Marden Gardeners held their spring show on April 13. After seeing other shows struggle for entries the organisers were worried as to how many entries they would get.

ANNUAL CHURCH MEETING – The ACM of Marden Church will take place at 7.30pm on Tuesday at Marden community hall. As well as reports on the fabric of the church and current financial situation, there will be updates on various projects. We will also be voting for new members of the Parochial Church Council and would welcome new nominees.

CHRISTMAS BAZAAR - Marden Church Christmas bazaar will take place on November 24. Opens 2pm at the community hall. Homemade cakes, pies and jams, brica- brac, books, toys, gifts and games.

BINGO - Friends of Marden Primary School will be holding a bingo night at the school tomorrow (Friday). Doors open at 6.30pm, eyes down at 7pm. A fun evening with prizes to be won – everyone is welcome.

THE HISTORY SOCIETY - Starts it’s autumn season off with a quiz. We hope that all members will support this event which will be held in the Community Centre on Monday at 7.30pm.£5 per table which will include food.
